Edraak, is a massive open online course (MOOC) platform, that is an initiative of the Queen Rania Foundation (QRF). QRF is determined to ensure that the Arab world is at the forefront of educational innovation. As such, QRF has capitalized on regional Arab talent to leverage technology developed by the Harvard-MIT consortium, edX, to create the first non-profit Arabic MOOC platform. The new MOOC platform will present the Arab world with unique and vital opportunities that can be part of a necessary revolution in education and learning. First, the platform will broadcast the best Arab professors to the region, offering original Arabic courses - developed by QRF - to further enrich Arab education. Through its partnership with edX, the platform will also give Arab learners access in Arabic to courses taught and developed at top tier institutions like HarvardX, MITX, and UC BerkelyX. All courses are delivered at no cost to the learner. Second, QRF envisions the use of the platform to showcase Arab role models by broadcasting short online courses by practitioners and professionals from a variety of fields spanning the arts and sciences. Finally, QRF believes that the platform will enable the Arab world to take advantage of the international interest in regional affairs to tell its own story to the world. Arab university professors and regional experts can use the platform to give courses in English about the region and its history. This will serve to inform a global audience that is interested in the region’s development. |
We live in a Digital World! The time we spend in this world is only increasing, for that reason, Digital Marketing is becoming increasingly important for businesses and individuals. In this specialization, we will learn how to have the right online presence, whether it is a website, a mobile app, a social media profile, a YouTube channel or our presence on Search Engines, and finally we will learn how to measure and analyze everything we do so we can achieve continuous improvements.
This specialization consists of three courses:
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The Right Online Presence
Digital Analytics
In the “SEO” course we will learn how search engines work, how to do keyword research and how to understand the customer search behaviour, after that we will learn how to optimize on-page elements using the selected keywords, after that we will learn about link management, and the technical part of SEO. Then we will learn the best practices on Social media to help with our SEO efforts. Finally, we will learn how to measure the effectiveness of our SEO efforts.
In the “Digital Analytics” Course, we will learn the fundamentals of Digital Analytics, then we will learn how to manage tags using Google Tag Manager, after that we will learn how to analyze the important reports in Google Analytics, then we will learn how to analyze the important reports in Google Search Console to help with our continuous SEO efforts. Then we will lean mobile analytics using “Firebase. After that we will learn how to analyze our presence on YouTube using YouTube Analytics, after that we will learn how to analyze data in Facebook Page insights and Twitter Analytics. Then we will learn how to create comprehensive dashboards using Google Data Studio and finally we will learn what heat-maps are and how to use them to enhance the conversion rate and the user experience, we will use the tool Hotjar for that.
In “The Right Online Presence” Course we will learn how to plan our online presence using the online customer journey, we will also learn how to create a simple, yet effective website using Google Sites, and how to have the right presence on Google My Business, then we will learn the best practices to have the right presence on Social Media platforms and how to create engaging content, after that we will learn the best practices when building a mobile app and finally we will learn how to manage effective email marketing campaigns using MailChimp.
